About
Hi, I'm Jorino -
'yo-ree-no'.
I studied math and physics at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. I'm highly interested in the application of emerging technologies.
After briefly working as an AI-researcher, I explored the potential of
digital assets at Agga Capital. Currently, I'm further developing my software development skills at
BNG Bank as application developer, where I work in the team that builds and maintains software for the front and back office.
I'm proficient in Python programming and data analysis, with work experience in both UNIX-based and Windows environments.
I also have experience with AI libraries such as PyTorch. For my master thesis, I researched applications of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) in mathematical finance, which led to a
publication.
My key interest area is technological evolution: how humanity transitioned from hunter
gatherers to farmers, to city-dwellers, to the information age creatures we are today. The main books I read and podcasts I listen to are about the past, present and future of technology and civilization.
Technology appears to be the driving force behind human progress and I'm highly interested in what comes next.
To relax, I like to go out for a run and some gym workouts every week. I also like to travel and see up close what's happening in the world.
